自从华府华语公布举办首届华人助选辩论会（直播）活动以来，我们收到了来自社会各界的关注与支持。本次辩论活动旨在提高华人的参政议政意识，积极配合本年度的美国总统大选，让华人选民能在一个公开，公平的政治舞台上，发表各自政见，探讨华人关心话题，更好地行使宪法赋予公民的言论自由和选举权。

为了秉持公平的原则，华府华语作为本次辩论的主办单位，制定了由主办单位与华裔希拉里、川普助选组织共同协商，共同确定双方辩论团队负责人，然后由负责人各自组建辩论队的政策。希望这一政策能够使主办单位保持中立，而辩论双方在负责人的协调下能够独立组建各自的辩论团队。

在这一政策的基础上，华裔希拉里支持者的辩论团队将由希拉里助选全国委员会主席，美国亚裔民主党俱乐部主席 罗玲女士负责；朱晓波先生协调。川普支持者的辩论团队将由美国亚裔共和党全国委员会执行主任，川普竞选亚裔委员会顾问委员 李忠刚 先生负责并协调。

华府华语今天收到来自美国亚裔共和党全国委员会执行主任 李忠刚先生写给"Chinese American for Trump" 维州负责人Zhang Wei先生、马州负责人Dai Rui女士的微信信息，内容如下：

Mr. Wei Zhang, and Ms. Rui Dai,
It is about 2a on Sunday. It is very unfortunate that you, the group leaders of CAFT in VA and MD, have decided not to participate in the political Debate on 10/8 and give up the opportunity promoting our Republican presidential candidate Donald J Trump together with other MD and VA Republican organizations, despite that CAFT was given the double representative quota comparing to other three registered Republican organizations. We all support Mr. Trump who is our Republican nominee. It is important to unite together for our common goal regardless when an organization starts to support him. Not letting enthusiastic CAFT members making their differences and being part of the entire Trump support team is a mistake detrimental to an election as close as this one. It is unreasonable and unwise to using participation as a leverage to gain more presents in the event for CAFT group. I accept your decision not to participate, will give the event organization a brief. We, Chinese American Republican of Virginia, Maryland Republican Asian Pacific American Council, and National Committee of Asian American Republicans North Virginia Chapter, look forward to other opportunities working together with Chinese Americans for Trump (CAFT) helping elect the next president of United State, Mr. Donald J Trump.

华府华语肯定李忠刚先生在协调川普支持者辩论团队的组建工作中持有的积极，透明，合作的工作态度。我们也对CAFT组织自动放弃辩论队席位表示遗憾。作为媒体主办方，华府华语坚持政治上保持中立，积极传播华裔的心声，为提高华裔的政治地位作出不懈的努力。

2016华人助选辩论会将与10月8日下午2:30pm在马州Winston Churchill 高中大礼堂如期举行。本届辩论会获得了来自社会各大华裔社团的支持。
